There are two kinds of pancreatic cancers namely exocrine tumors and endocrine tumors. In about 95 per cent of the cases the cancer is exocrine in nature. Diabetes People suffering from type 2 diabetes are also quite prone to pancreatic cancer.

Cirrhosis of the liver - People with the history of heavy drinking or liver damage are also susceptible to this form of cancer.
Stomach problems Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), which happens to be the ulcer causing bacteria; might also increase the risk of getting pancreatic cancer.
