1. If you have the enrollment number:

   1. First of all, you have to visit the official website of UIDAI i.ee. www.uidai.gov.in
   2. Once you log on to the website, you will see the Aadhar Enrollment Section under the Aadhar Online Services. After this, you need to click on the tab for checking aadhar status.
   3. It will ask for details related to your enrollment number and the time of enrollment. Feed these details.
   4. You need to enter the security code. Once you do that, click on the tab that reads Check Status.
   5. There are two options now. If the aadhar has been generated, a message related to this will be displayed on the screen.
   6. There will be an option to directly send the aadhar to your registered number. Alternately there will be an option for directly downloading the aadhar. These options read as Download Aadhar and Get Aadhar on Mobile, respectively.
   7. If the aadhar has not yet been generated, you will get a related message on the screen.

2. If you do not have the enrollment number:

   1. In case you have lost track of or have misplaced your enrollment number, you have to visit the page: https://goo.gl/hSo8WC
   2. After logging on to this page, you need to select the option for UID. This will enable you to recover your enrollment details.
   3. The page that appears will ask you to fill in your basic details related to your name, registered email ID, registered mobile number and the security code.
   4. An OTP will be generated that will be sent to your registered mobile number. You need to enter this OTP in the space provided and click on the verification tab.
   5. After this step, the enrollment number will be sent to the registered email ID and the registered mobile number. This enrollment number can now be used to check the aadhar status online by following the steps mentioned above.
