So, alternately speaking, BMI is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women.

 BMI is a fairly reliable indicator of body fatness for most people. Additionally, BMI is an inexpensive and easy-to-perform method of screening for weight categories that may lead to health problems.
