We have provided multiple ways to pay the premiums online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Bill Pay along with various offline and auto payment options.

 

Online Payment

You can pay premium through Net Banking facility. For list of banks please click here. To pay premium now click here.

Other Options

Cash, cheque or demand draft payments are accepted between 9.30 am to 4.30 pm from Monday- Friday and between 9.30 am to 12.00 pm on Saturday. Branches are closed on Sundays, national holidays and region- specific holidays.

    Cheque

  • Cheques/ Demand Drafts must be drawn in favour of HDFC Life Policy No. XXXXXXXX. Please also mention your name, contact number and email ID on the reverse side of the cheque/DD to help us contact you if required.
  • Kindly submit the Declaration of Relationship for Third Party Payment in case the premium is paid by a person other than the Policy Owner (Third party relations). Acceptable third party relationships include grandparents, parents, siblings, spouse and children. Also if the payer is a NPO (Non Profit organisation) like an NGO/charitable trust, the relevant portion of the Third party declaration needs to be filled  Click here to download the KYC form.
  • For premium payment above 1,00,000, a copy of the identity and residence proof of the payer will need to be submitted.
  • For cheque/ Demand Drafts payments equal to and above 50,000/-, kindly submit a copy of your PAN card In case you have already submitted the same and there is no change in the details, kindly quote the same on the reverse side of the cheque (The provisions of the Income tax Act, 1961, casts an obligation of quoting the PAN on the person entering into the transactions for payment of life insurance premium aggregating to 50,000 or more in a year). In the absence of PAN details, please provide Form 60/61 (as applicable).
  • Cash

  • For renewal, revival or top up transactions, cash acceptance limit is 50,000 per customer in a financial year.
  • If the cash amount to be deposited exceeds 10,000 and the cash is deposited by a person other than the Life Assured or Policyholder, then the depositor needs to obtain an Authority Letter from the Life Assured or Policy Owner and submit the same while depositing cash. Click here to download the Cash authority letter format.

You can drop cheques and demand drafts drawn in favour of HDFC Life Policy No. XXXXXXXX into any of our drop boxes installed at various locations in various cities.

To avail the Bill Pay service, you need to first register on your bank's website. Post- registration, you can receive electronic premium statements and pay premiums online through your bank account.

ECS is an automated facility which debits the premium from the bank account specified by you, on the premium due date.

To avail of this facility, please submit the Auto Debit Mandate along with a cancelled cheque (which helps us record your bank’s MICR code- see image) at any HDFC Life branch or hand it over to your Financial Consultant.

Pay premiums using your HDFC Bank credit card. Submit the Credit Card Mandate along with a clear photocopy of the front side of the credit card at any HDFC Life branch.

The Direct Debit option is currently available with ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Citibank and SBI.

Direct Debit allows you to pay premiums through the auto debit facility available with these 6 banks for all the non- ECS locations. Simply submit the mandate selecting Direct Debit (non- ECS location-select banks only) option along with a mandatory cancelled cheque.
